Classroom Rules & Expectations
These rules apply to the 7th and 8th grades science classes.
Student Rules/Responsibilities
1. Students are responsible for being in their seats when the bell rings or they will be TARDY!
2. Students are responsible for bringing ALL science materials (and agenda) with them to class everyday.
3. Students are responsible for having ALL requested work finished BEFORE class starts.
4. When one person is talking, ALL other students are responsible for being quiet and respectful.
5. Students are responsible for following ALL school rules while in science class.
6. Students are responsible for respecting EVERYBODY in the classroom (teacher, other students, yourself).
7. NO GUM
8. NO CHEATING
Consequences
Students failing to comply with the above rules/responsibilities can expect to face the following consequences.
1. Verbal Discipline
2. Conduct Marks*
3. Moved within the classroom
4. Removed from the classroom
5. Parent contacted
6. Lunch detention
7. Lowered class grade for failing to complete homework
8. Lowered conduct grade for continued behavioral problems
9. Principal intervention
*Students will receive conduct marks for not following the rules. When three marks are received in a given grading
period, the student will receive an N in conduct. When a student receives five or more conduct marks in one grading period, the student will
receive a U in conduct. Most violations will result in one conduct mark, however, gum will result in two conduct marks. Cheating
may result in an automatic N or U in conduct.
